Career:

I studied automotive engine design, but became a professional sound engineer touring with major bands until 1982. Since 1983 I have worked as a Project Manager in the Aerospace/Defence industry.

How did you get involved in the project?

I volunteered! I was then hijacked to help out at the Earl's Court Motor Show in 1995 and I haven't stopped since.

Responsibilities in the UK:

They are varied, but involve Mach 1 Club Open Day organisation, Audiovisual systems for Open Days and Press Days, odd jobs for team members, maintenance of the Press Library and Database and everything no-one else has time to do.

Responsibilities in Jordan:

I missed out as I was in hospital at the time.

Responsibilities in the US:

Anything that gets thrown at me.

Previous crazy ventures:

I built a 2000cc Dragster motorcycle and became involved in setting up drag racing at Long Marston (Stratford Raceway) in the 1970s. I've also built a Replica Bugatti Type 35.

All kinds. I still do live mixes for bands and engineer for recording sessions.
