Occupation: | Marketing Director, Pegasus |
Current Residence: | Bristol |
Age: | Like Simon Baker, old enough to know better! |
Place of birth: | Rome |
Career: | I started flying in 1974 then became a Flying Instructor at Pegasus. From Flying Instructor it was a natural progression for me to become Marketing Director. In 1978-79 I won the "American Cup" for hang-gliding. |
How did you get involved in the project? | Paul Remfry contacted me by phone and we agreed to support the ThrustSSC Project as a means of marketing Pegasus and showing our high quality products to a worldwide market. |
Responsibilities in the US: | When ThrustSSC is running on the desert we are flying above working as lookouts. |
Previous crazy ventures: | I am a member of the Dangerous Sports Club and take part in the annual downhill race at St Morritz. We are not allowed to use skis so you have to use your imagination to come up with some other way of getting down the hill. I have raced my Railton and taken part in the VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club) Hillclimb Championship. |
Car: | Peugot 406, 1935 Railton Straight 8 Sports Tourer, Jaguar E Type, Sporting Trials Car (for the winter), Honda 4004 |
Favourite Music: | Classicall, jazz, Rock'n'roll, hip hop |
What sort of books would you read if you had the time? | I have broad interests but I'm currently reading the Regeneration Triology (or I would be if I hadn't left it at the airport!) |
Hobbies: | Include flying, motorsport and photography. |
What do you want to do when the project is over? | Lie flat on my back and look at the stars. |
What have you learned from this experience? | That we all need to de-focus from work and get out and see the world. |
