This is a list of the principal optional equipment available for the Supacat 6x6 vehicle. In some cases these items are not dedicated to the Supacat 6x6 and can be supplied for other vehicles.
If your requirement varies from what is listed please contact Supacat Ltd. as we are always pleased to consider specialist design and manufacture or procurement of specific equipment.
This includes an electric winch of about 8000 pounds (3500 Kgs.) bare drum pull capacity and the following other fitments:
A useful addition to the winch kit (supplied separately) is the Intervehicle Power Cable, a heavy duty independent cable that plugs into the winch and vehicle power source to enable the winch to be fitted and operated from the Supacat's front or rear lifting/towing eyes. It can also be used between vehicles fitted with suitable plugs for intervehicle power transfer (jump starting).
Initially designed to enable the Supacat to be able to self load pallets or similar items in conjunction with the winch. They can also enable a Supacat to self stack one on another for air or surface transport. The two ramps are stowed under the Supacat's `wings'. Ramps have many other uses. They can be used as bridges and ramps for obstacle crossing as well as for recovery operations. Ramps and winch will in many cases enable a Supacat to self recover if it becomes necessary. The ramps have recently be redesigned and are now stronger, incorporate handles at both ends, and have non slip surfaces.
Two are fitted into the hull of the Supacat and are essential if the vehicle is to be used for amphibious operations. Also useful on open vehicles to pump out after washing or rain.
The Supacat is not fitted with a spare as standard as it can manage quite well with one or more flat tyres. However a punctured tyre must eventually be replaced.
Spare wheel assembly complete with inner tube.
The Supacat tyres are normally tubeless but tubes may be fitted to suit operational requirements. Tubes are advisable if very low inflation pressures are to be used and operating conditions will be rough. Tyres at low pressure can be forced off of the rims causing deflation. Puncture repairs are easier with tubes.
The standard towing attachment for NATO forces vehicles and is used in conjunction with the heavy duty tailgate.
Two pin auxiliary power source and plug. Dash mounted for auxiliary electrical equipment, radios etc.
Standard 7 pin fitting and wiring.
Standard NATO 12 pin trailer fitting and wiring. Includes wiring for FLPT operation in conjunction with FLPT Operating kit.

The kit offers a set of tools with some special to the Supacat. Supplied in two specially designed tool rolls that can be fitted to the Supacat. (See list).
For military use these replace the two rear number plate lights and the switch isolates ALL other lights on the vehicle.
This covers the rear well of a Supacat to make a flat load platform leaving a protected load space beneath. It is secured by the tailgate. The cover may be fitted into the well to form its floor if it is not being used. This will also protect the well floor from damage. The Well Deck should be fitted if the top weapon mount is to be used to provide a level standing and operating space.
Supplied as a separate item to supply electrical power to the winch if used in the front or rear position, it doubles as an electrical `jump lead' between Supacats or other vehicles with suitable plugs.
Canvas cover recommended for open Supacats that have to live outside in poor weather conditions - particularly snow. Provides protection for the front half of the vehicle.
This is a steel framed canvas clad body with glass front screens, doors and is supplied complete with wipers and washers as well as a heater / demister. The doors are canvas clad and can be removed or fixed in the open position. Rear plastic window is provided. The rear canvas can be removed to leave a cab only or the sides and rear can be rolled up. The rear flap can be repositioned onto the front `cab' if required.
Full body which is steel framed with fibreglass roof and aluminium panels. The interior is panelled with insulating material and is fitted with lighting. Glass front screens with wash/wipe and heater demister system are fitted. The doors which have sliding glass windows may be removed and stowed on the side of the vehicle. The rear door is glazed and opens up on gas struts. It offers almost full width loading access.
N.B. - both hard and soft tops can be fitted with rear seating.
Of the same design as the Full Body but cab only, giving crew protection and an open rear load space.
Front cab only of the same design as the hard top body. Rear load area of the Supacat remains open.
(Design being finalised). Folding screen and front cab. Light weight and foldable / removable for airportability. For the user that requires weather protection but also the flexibility of being able to remove the canopy for ease of access, high visibility, improved load carrying, low profile and air transport both internal and underslung.
2.5 Kg dry powder, UK MOD specification or other as required.
To MOD standard specification or other as required.
A specialised trailer which is capable of lifting and transporting pallets as well as being used for general cargo. Designed for air portability it has civilian and military uses. (separate information available).
Plugs, wiring and fittings to allow FLPT to be connected and operated direct from a Supacat vehicle.
Designed specifically for the Supacat 6x6 it uses the same size tyres (31 x 15.5 x 15) and is also able to float. The towbar is retractable to reduce transport dimensions and is of a design that allows for maximum manoeuvrability. It is fitted with full lighting equipment and a canvas cover. The tow hitch is supplied to suit the vehicle.
N.B. It is possible to adapt this design to accommodate specific requirements.

It is a four wheel trailer which has a `break back' system to allow quick loading and unloading. It can be fitted with towing attachments to suit requirements. Suitable for carrying other vehicles.
General road transport trailer which will carry the Supacat. Can be converted so that Supacat size tyres (31 x 15.5 x 15) can be fitted for low ground pressure work behind a Supacat. The trailer being used to transport the vehicle to site and then used behind the Supacat for on site transport.
These are fitted around the standard wheels and tyres and are used for operations in soft snow and very boggy ground conditions. Made from rubber belting and joined by a pin they can be fitted in about 30 minutes. Increased tyre pressure is used to tension the tracks. The Ackerman steering is locked and the Supacat is steered by it's brakes. The Supacat can swim with tracks on.
Supacats can be fitted with tyre self sealant.
`Snow Chains' for increased traction on smooth and slippery surfaces.
An inner rubberised layer to protect the inner tube under the tyre tread area from penetration punctures.
A device that is inflated by the exhaust and can lift the vehicle. Particularly useful in soft ground conditions as a recovery aid as well as being used as a conventional jack.
Recovery, a specialist KERRS rope initially developed for armoured vehicle recovery. This 24mm x 8m rope is `balanced' to the power and weight of the Supacat for ultimate performance. It enables a Supacat to recover other vehicles from very difficult situations, quickly. Always part of our demonstration equipment.
Tow, is a short 2.2m rope with looped ends used for towing as well as a winch anchor rope. Useful to centralise front pulling operations with the Supacat.
