There are two restaurants and five bars in Gerlach and a store in Empire to buy supplies. Fuel (petrol/gasoline and diesel) are available in both towns, and an RV dump station is available at the RV park in Gerlach.

Reno offers all possible services with all grades of accommodation, and all major car and RV hire companies.

The Black Rock is an area of exceptional natural and cultural interests - interests which can be easily damaged by careless use of the desert and its surrounding area.
