In 1963, 16 years after John Cobb, Breedlove was the first man to travel over 400 mph in an averaged two-way run. His three wheeler, styled on a jet fighter plane, was governed and sanctioned by F.I.M. Breelove was not satisfied, his eyes firmly set on the magical 500 mph. This was achieved in October 1964 with runs of 513.33 mph and 539.89 mph.
