How did you get involved in the project?

In 1995 we saw Thrust SSC at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and became Mach 1 Club members. In 1996 Robbie started working on the project and I've been involved ever since.

Responsibilities in the UK:

Catering for the team, selling merchandise and any administrative jobs which need doing.

Responsibilities in Jordan:

Catering for the team and fodding.

Responsibilities in the US:

Catering, merchandising, desert security.

Previous crazy ventures:

I fell off a mountain bike down a 40ft ravine and then went white water rafting the next afternoon. I have also taken part in a 24 hour hairdressing marathon for charity and built our Caterham Super 7.

Favourite Music:

Opera, especially Mozart, Choral music, Blur, Prodigy and Pink Floyd.

What sort of books would you read if you had the time?

No Romance! Thrillers.

Hobbies:

Interior design, gardening and cars.

What do you want to do when the project is over?

Go travelling round the world in a Land Rover.

What have you learned from this experience?

Three things - you don't get unless you ask, improvisation and how to wait.
