Taxan (Europe) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaga Electronics Co. Ltd, Toyko, Japan. As an electronics supplier, Kaga Electronics serves a vast array of customers including manufacturers of computer-related products, electronic home appliances, communications equipment, toys and other electronic products. As a manufacturer, the company develops and produces numerous types of computer monitors under its brand name Taxan.

Taxan monitors were first introduced into the European market in 1979. Today, Taxan (Europe) Ltd supplies products to the user via a network of authorised dealers and distributors. The OEM sales division holds contracts with several PC manufacturers and systems builders.

In November 1992 the company was awarded BS 5750 (ISO 9001) certification, a reflection of an ongoing commitment to total quality.

The Taxan product portfolio includes 14", 15", 17", 20" and 21" colour monitors offering multi-platform support for most computer systems. In addition a strategic partnership with ATI Technologies enables Taxan to provide display solutions offering power, performance and true compatibility for software applications past, present and future.

During 1994 Taxan introduced the Crystalvision 100, a 9.4" stand alone liquid crystal display colour monitor. Using the latest thin film transistor technology, the Crystalvision 100 provides high quality, high contrast, distortion free colour images for a wide range of computing requirements. Considered to be the next major advance in display technology, liquid crystal display monitors are exquisite to look at and delightful to work with.

Market research consistently shows Taxan to be a market leader, a position earned by providing performance, compatibility and affordability. According to the most recent research produced by Romtec plc, Taxan is the leader in the UK with a 16.8% share of the third party monitor market. Only two manufacturers have more than 10% market share.
